La Bianchi Centenario è una bicicletta che non ha bisogno di presentazioni, appare nel catalogo 1985 di casa Bianchi per festeggiare il centenario della più antica fabbrica italiana di biciclette ancora oggi attiva.

Nasce infatti nel 1885 la fabbrica di Treviglio e, come sottolinea il titolo del certificato di proprietà, la Bianchi è "in testa da cent'anni"

Il telaio di questa specialissima è stato trovato in pessime condizioni e riportato a nuova vita grazie ad un sapiente restauro. Alcuni particolari come l'attacco a saldare del deragliatore anteriore erano stati aggiunti e non erano presenti in origine

Nel catalogo Campagnolo n. 15 del 1967 i gruppi di alta gamma sono ancora il gruppo Campagnolo Record e Campagnolo Record Pista. Viene introdotto il deragliatore posteriore Nuovo Record (1020/a), queste definizioni contribuiscono a creare un po' di confusione a volte infatti per riferirsi a questo gruppo si usa indifferentemente il termine Record o Nuovo Record.
